School Consultancy & Training: FAQ

-
What kinds of consultancy and training do you offer for schools?
I partner with schools to design consultancy and training around neurodiversity support, inclusive classroom practice, and AI‑supported learning. This includes whole‑staff CPD, leadership strategy sessions, and small‑group workshops tailored to your context.
-
Is this just another one‑off INSET day?
No. Instead of a single “information dump,” we focus on building sustainable capability in your staff team. We co‑design a pathway that may include pre‑work, live training, coaching, and follow‑up resources so ideas actually translate into classroom change.
-
Who are the sessions suitable for?
Training can be adapted for senior leaders, classroom teachers, teaching assistants, and specialist teams such as SEND and pastoral staff. Mixed‑role sessions are also possible when the goal is to align the whole community around a shared approach.
-
Do you work online, in person, or both?
I work primarily online, which allows schools to access high‑quality training and consultancy without the constraints of scheduling or travel. When distance is feasible, I also offer in‑person visits for deeper, context‑specific work such as learning walks, coaching, or leadership strategy sessions. We’ll discuss what’s realistic for your location when you get in touch.
-
How do you use AI in school training?
AI is one strategy within a wider learning architecture — never an isolated add‑on. I show staff how to integrate AI alongside metacognition, SRL, and inclusive practice so it strengthens thinking, reduces workload, and supports neurodivergent learners. The focus is on capability, judgment, and ethical use, not on AI as a standalone tool.
-
What outcomes can we expect for our staff?
Staff leave with concrete strategies, shared language around neurodiversity and self‑regulated learning, and practical tools they can use immediately. We also build metacognitive capability so teachers can continue refining their practice over time.
-
How do we know if the consultancy is having an impact?
We agree success indicators together at the start — this may include staff confidence measures, shifts in classroom practice, or outcomes for identified cohorts. I encourage schools to collect “before and after” reflections alongside any relevant data.
-
Can you align with our existing policies and frameworks?
Yes. I work within your current behaviour, SEND, and teaching & learning frameworks so new strategies feel integrated rather than “another initiative.” Where helpful, I can suggest small policy adjustments to better support neurodivergent learners.
-
How far in advance should we book?
For whole‑school training days, booking at least one term in advance is ideal. Shorter online sessions or consultancy calls often have more flexibility. If you have a specific date in mind, please reach out early.

How do we get started?
Use the contact options on this site to outline your school’s context, priorities, and any key dates. We’ll then schedule an initial call to scope your needs and design a consultancy or training package that fits your setting.
